The new search engine that gives 80% of its advertising revenue to charities

Users and corporations will be able to donate revenue for free, just by searching the web

Launching on October 13, Hulah is not like most other search engines as it will donate 80 percent of its advertising revenue to charity. Hulah’s mission is to help the world bounce back from Covid-19 and to help in the protection of Earth’s last remaining natural ecosystems.  We aim to open a new revenue stream for charities so that they can continue vital services that align with our mission. We give internet users the chance to support their favourite charities for free and without having to change their everyday habits.

Revenue is generated from the clicks on the advertisements that appear above or beside search resultsHulah is completely committed to supporting trusted causes that combat some of the world’s most pressing issues including Covid-19 and global warming. For example, Hulah will be donating to Ark2030, who are on a mission to complete the restoration of 500m hectares of Planet Earth.

As a result of the coronavirus pandemic, many charities are struggling to raise the funding they need to support those most affected. Therefore Hulah also offers the opportunity for the user to support NHS Charities Together, a collective experience representing, supporting and championing the work of the NHS’ official charities.; the NSPCC, to help with the unprecedented demand for their services such as supporting vulnerable children through Childline; Save The Children to help every child become who they want to be and UNICEF to help the supply of critical resources and emergency care. Users can select any or all of the charities they wish advertising revenue to be donated to, and all for free.

Founder of Hulah, Duncan Murray said: “Your use of search engines normally generates revenue that goes to large tech companies. By using Hulah.org, you will be able to search and help save the world, without any significant change to your usual online activity and at no cost. Charities will be able to advertise for free on the platform, and 80% of all our search advertising revenue will be donated to good causes around the world.

By making a choice to change your search engine, you can help drive a substantial positive change for our planet – and what better time to do something socially responsible. Hulah will support trusted charities that help those that have been most affected by COVID-19 and those that help restore millions of acres of habitat and remove tonnes of plastic from our oceans. Together, by searching the web with Hulah.org – we really can make a difference to the world we live in.”
